Image storage

Uploaded and generated images can be stored in our application database for gallery history and optionally in Cloudinary when cloud storage is configured. Guest-created images are retained for a limited period, while registered users can access saved images from their dashboard.

Analytics usage

picszn can use Google Analytics 4 to understand page performance, feature usage, and broad traffic patterns. We use this information to improve the product, not to sell personal behavior data.

Image processing

picszn uses premium style presets and on-device processing for image enhancements. Most filters, mood layers, and layout renders are applied locally in your browser using HTML5 Canvas. For certain AI-powered enhancements (mood generation, style transfer), images may be processed server-side via the Pollinations AI service.

Pollinations AI (server-side): When you use AI mood enhancement or generative features, your image data is sent to Pollinations.ai for processing. Pollinations acts as a data processor on our behalf. Images sent to Pollinations are processed in real-time and are not stored by their service beyond the time needed to complete the request. No personal identifiers are transmitted alongside images. MediaPipe usage (local processing)

Google MediaPipe is used for face detection, face mesh landmark mapping, and image segmentation to power face-aware effects (AR overlays, background removal, smart cropping). All MediaPipe inference runs entirely in your browser using WebAssembly and WebGL. No image data leaves your device during MediaPipe processing.

MediaPipe model files are downloaded once from Google's CDN and cached locally. This download does not transmit any of your image data to Google. We use MediaPipe under its Apache 2.0 license as a local processing library, not as a cloud service.

Your rights & control

Under data protection laws (including GDPR, CCPA, and DPDP), you have the right to:

• Request Access to the personal data we store about you.
• Request Erasure (the "Right to be Forgotten") to have your account and associated data permanently deleted.
• Correct Inaccurate Data if your profile information is incomplete or wrong.
• Withdraw Consent for marketing communications at any time via your dashboard settings.
• Data Portability — export all your personal data (profile, images, activity history) in a machine-readable format via the "Export My Data" tool in your dashboard settings.
